cfore8mm Mag 180 Gr. TSX Loads?
I'm going bear hunting this fall in Arizona and was thinking of shooting the 180 gr. TSX bullets in my 8MM Mag. I have some BT's that shoot well at 3,250 out the rifle but I'm not crazy about the BT's on bears. Just wondering if anyone had used the TSX's on game in this caliber and if they had any loads they were willing to share. I've used the 300 gr. TSX out of my 375 on water buffalo and wild hogs and very happy with the performance.

Magnum61I'm not doing the loading but I have friend who is loading those and the 200's. I'll update as I find out. I really think you don't need anything more than the 180 in that gun. But you do gain BC with the 200's.

snowmancfor I haven't used the 180 TSX but I have used the 200 gr X. They performed great on moose and black bear. I have never recovered one of these (8mm 200 gr) bullets as all have passed completely through. The wound channel looks like a blender went through.

cforeI loaded 85 grains of RL 22. I'll let you know how they chronograph. This is the same load I used with the BT's and got 3,250.
