I've been thinking about a new medium bore for a while, my Dumoulin .338 Winchester went to a new home in Alaska a while back when someone thought it was worth a lot more than I did.

Then Wednesday I received the email from CDNN with specials and low and behold they had the No. 1 in 9.3 x 74R on special for $799, so I thought I got's to get me one of those.



The rifle arrived yesterday, I've got dies on order, and a Leupold VX3 1.5-5 optic, Midway had a closeout on Lapua Mega ammo so I bought both boxes they had to get some brass. Hopefully everything arrives next week so I can put it together for a little shooting on Saturday. In the meantime I need to research some reloading data, I know I don't want to be buying ammo at $3+ per round.

And hello to Jeffeosso and the old crew. I've been gone for quite a spell, travelling for work the past 2 1/2 years but have high hopes that is done now.

I'd like to buy another No. 1 but I don't like the AH forearm.
