232 orynx 9.3x62 starting load
I just managed to secure 1000 orynx as a surplus stock from a retired shop owner

Prior to that I have beshouting 250 aframe

I have been lucky with my a-frame load development and got it right virtually within the first 15 shots.

Care to share your loads using the orynx ?

I have good luck using RL-15. Best load in my CZ550 has been 64g. This is a warm load so be cautioned.

Wow that is hot

When I was throwing 250 a frame I was around 46 grains of varget

I think I'd be using a powder in the burn rate of IMR-3031 for the 232 grain load and suspect that one should finish load development at about 2650 FPS or so

This however, is not personal experience speaking!

It crono's at about 2700fps, is MOA in my rifle. These loads were pressure tested at under 60,00PSI. Best load with the Barnes 250 X bullet is 62g RL-15. Varget at 60.5g. RL-15 is the most accurate in my rifle. These are published loads, and in my rifle no signs of pressure and are accurate. Ram Shot's Big Game has worked best for the 270g and 286g bullets.

I load the 232 Norma Vulcan over 63grains 2208 (Varget). 61 grains gives 2,627fps in my rifle which is the only load I have chronographed with this projectile.

With the 250 AB I load 62.5 grains of 2208 (Varget) I only use NEW LAPUA BRASS as it is a warm load. 2,642 fps is the muzzle velocity.

For Varget and the 232, my info shows 58g as the starting load.

My rifle shoots the 232gr like Sh!t. 285gr Cast GC or 286gr Hornady. IMR4064.

59gr VVN135 - 2,600fps from a 24" barrel. That's a bit fast for really big game as the bullet is designed for the 9.3x57 and is rather over expansive at that velocity. I've shot 4 moose with it but the last showed poor expansion. Great deer bullet and also good for practice.

Check the Norma manual for N-202 and N-203B loads for that combination. They sell a LOT of that pre loaded.

In fact, please send me a PM, and I will scan the appropriate page of the manual.

Norma views is as a target, Roebuck and Capercaille load.

PS Look up the Finnish Vihtavouri load data as well. It is right on their site.
