Who still offers the 280 Rem or 284 Win chamberings in their current product line as a bolt action repeater?

Palladin8Remington should still carry the 280Rem. Not sure if anyone is chambering the .284Win. It seems the 6.5-284 is all the rage and a few companies chamber it but not the original.

Bernie P.Ruger chambered the .280 Rem in their Hawkeye AW up until a year or so back.You might be able to find one in stock somewhere.ULA offers their guns in .284 but they're pretty expensive.

Really don't understand why anyone would want a 6.5-284 with the 264 Win Mag out there, but then I'm kind of a retro guy.

adamhunterBrowning offers the 280 in the X Bolt.. Great caliber!!!
30+ years experience tells me that perfection hit at .264. Others are adequate but anything before or after is wishful thinking.

Palladin8I have the AI version and love it. The bullet selection for 7mm is vast.

RyanBNosler has the .280AI, as does Kimber. NULA built their actions to fit the .284. Remington does .280s once in a while I guess, though I've not seen a newer one. It's a shame because the entire .277 bore size should never have been created and then the 7mm would get its due.

kiwiwildcatRemington have the .280 in their stainless laminated stocked mountain rifle, one of the best looking, nicest handling and accurate rifles (owned one for a couple of years).
At one point, they were selling more of the mountain rifles in .280 than .270 or 30-06. Not surprising IMHO

Browning made a limited run of Micro Hunters in 284 this year. They made 50. Here is a link to one on sale.

wistrapperJust a quick update. We ended up with a Browning X Bolt in 280 Rem. I installed a Nikon Monarch 3-12 X 42 on Leupold bases. Most likely we'll get to shooting paper this week.
I got to tell you this rifle has an excellent feel to it. It is light, has a good look to it, nice and cushy recoil pad, removable magazine, and a great trigger. Cant wait to shoot it.
