While I think this round may have merit can anyone explain what great advance it has over ,perhaps the best military round of all time, the 6.5x55 Swedish. We all know when it was created!!!!!!

Australia
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of drought and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!

It is easier to load in M16 magazines and will function through an M16 length action? The 6.8 SPC appears to be about like the 250-3000 performance wise. I'm going to build a 6.8 SPC on a Remington 600 Mohawk that I have around when the components become available.

I think that it will do about the same things as the 6,5x55. In Scandinavia the caliber alone stand for about 50 000 Mooses a year.

So, to my point: Who needs a 6.8spc when you have it's superior in the 6,5x55 bewildered

A friend of mine took an antelope this year at around 285 yds with the 6.8 spc. I'm not exactly sure what bullet he used, but it was one of the really light .277 cal bullets that you see in the 6.8 - 110 or 115 grs or something.
