I see that cabela's has these on sale right now for $499. Anyone know anything about 'em? I think I want one in .300WSM. Let me know what you guys think.

The rifle is alright, nothing special. Savages are decent out-of-the-box shooters on average and the Accutrugger is okay. Ditch the scope though, those Simmons scopes are junk. The rings are also pretty cheap and come with crappy screws.

If they have 16fss or 16fcss (same with clip) I'd buy that, with a low-end brand name scope that doesn't suck so much and decent mount. Won't be too much more price-wise but the improved optics/mount will be worth it.

The gun itself is fine, though.
