Tyler KempDeer and smaller. It's pretty fast and a barrel won't last real long, but plenty for the average hunter. But if you're an average hunter, do you want to make your round from 284 brass?
Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!

game catagory. It will not, however, out perform the 6mm-06 and cases are more easily optained by simply necking down 26-06 cases. Not an expert , JMHO,

45ottoCases can also be formed from 6.5-284 brass. IMHO a 6MM rem is a better .243 round.

308SakoI own currently and shoot the 6PPC, 243 AI, 6 Rem, and the 6/284. I have also had a 6mm International and a 6 x 47...
The 6 Remington is the best of the lot, with the 243 AI a close second if not tied.

Robert_in_mtIn a long action, 6 Rem is as good as or better than 6x284, either can be stuffed in short action, big mistake. Short action, go with .243 or .243imp.
