Sako 85 scope mounts
I have two Sako 85's. I have a set of talley rings and bases on one. Am likely going to do the same with a 30-06, but was also considering the Sako Optilock rings. Any input or comparisons regarding the two would be appreciated. Thanks, Rich.

I've never had the talleys on a sako; but I can say all my sakos (4) wear optilocks and although they are a bit heavy I really like them, built like a tank and I will put them on any future sakos.

I only have one Sako, and it wears Leupold rings. It has never shifted zero and holds up well.

I prefer the Optilocks on Sako's though I use Talley's on everything else.
Fish3014 and a couple other big Sako fans prefer the Talley's.
Both are good choices so since you already have a set of Talley's I think you should try a set of Optilocks to see which you will like the best.
Let us know what you think of them...........................DJ

Great advice from DJ as usual!

I have used the OptiLocks, and they work well. I particularly like the plastic inserts. I dislike the soft screwheads (go easy on the screws!) and the price.

I have not used Talleys on Sakos, but the Leupolds I have seem to work well at low cost and low weight. I have also used Burris Signature Zees, and although they require a separate base, it is probably my overall favourite (though not for looks...).

Optilocks rings and bases every day all week, the rest are just second best alternatives.
