.350 Rigby Magnum data
Had a request for reloading data on this cartridge, and all I presently have is this page from the Woodleight Bullets Loading Manual. If anyone else has data, please share. Sorry for the lame image, but it seems to be readable.

In the past, I have done better simply by laying the open book face down in the scanner. As it is, I can't read the bullet weights and powder numbers.

Xausa, I hesitate to put some books on the scanner bed lest I damage the spine, this one included. If you click on the photo it should take you to the Flicker page, then hit expand, lower right, and you should be able to read both bullet weights and powder numbers.

I take it they are keeping under a certain pressure only with their data? The 358 Norma that they mention will far exceed the loads listed - up to 2900 FPS with a 225.

Bax, those loads are from the British and Double Rifle section of the Woodleigh manual. The forward to this section clarifies that the purpose of these data is to duplicate original cordite pressures and performance, not to milk the chamberings for every ounce of pressure available under SAAMI specs. Geoff MacDonald and Graeme Wright point out that even at these performance levels, these cartridges have been "doing a job" for well over a century.

Just realized the manual includes .318 Westley Richards data as well:

Thank you Bill....again,
As luck would have it, i have a .318 WR coming in the near future and will be looking for data. Thanks for posting this, I will print it out and have it ready.
The 350 Rigby page has already been a great help.

Doug, you can obviously pep these two numbers up considerably with modern powders in a modern rifle, but half the fun of shooting the old classics is letting them show what they can do in their "original livery" so to speak.

Cool
