Big Bob280AI Nosler brass
Has anyone tried Nosler 280AI brass.
If so, other than it's expensive, what do think of it ?

ClemWhen I bought my Cooper 280AI from a friend it came with scope, dies and about 100 rounds of Nosler brass and an assortment of bullets. It is very high quality product and the rifle shoots very accurate with it (as it should).
As far as I know Nosler is the only one that manufactures brass stamped 280AI if that really matters. I'm certain I could fireform 280 Rem brass from another manufacturer and have good results too.
When I measured neck thickness and runout it was very true and consistent. Quite impressive actually. It is very high quality brass but it is quite expensive at $68/50.
I'm not really an AI follower but couldn't pass up the deal. It's a pretty impressive cartridge.

woodsIf you have a new SAAMI spec chamber then there is no better brass
But if you have an older chamber that was reamed the way Ackley said to do it, then the Nosler brass will have .014" headspace and you will get flattened primers
