Boilerroom-I should have warned you not to be scared off by the prices on some of their specialty rifles as they do build much more reasonably priced guns as well.Spec out what you want and ask for a quote or describe what you want and let them spec out a rifle and quote for you.

I reload all of my ammuntion and both will shoot .5 moa if I do my part. I can also say that both of mine came bedded from the factory. The fit and finish on both is excellent. I'm in the market for another in 338 myself. That should tell you how pleased I am with them.

Good answer!
I like the 'defending Remington' part.
Hope you go for the 700 AWR in .375 H&H.
Guys, as for a .338 Lapua, how 'bout an ArmaLite AR30?
That's what I'd get.

Boilerroom -I figured that as long as you were going to spend good money you might as well get the most value for it.I spent a lot of money buying factory guns that didn't satisfy me when it would have been much cheaper in the long run to just get a custom in the first place.

Have just bought a Rem 700 AWR in 300 win mag. The stainless feature without the reflecting shine seemed like a good idea for a hard working hunting rifle. Best trigger I ever touched, stock fits me perfect, that's the good news. If presicion is your game, don't go to high i caliber. Better then to consider a APR. Also groups nothing to brag about when the barrel are hot, much worse than my other rifles. But when kept cold, almost every handload I give it is in the 3/4" of an inch. [Cool]
