Any 8x57 Factory Rifles available?
I know about the Rem. 700 Classic this year, but would kind of like an 8x57 with a mauser/CRF action. I would love to get one by CZ, but they don't show any on their web site. Are there any other options out there?

Thanks,
Scott

Maybe CZ will special order one. If Charles Daley ever gets Congress to free up the Yugo Mausers they'll probably have one too. If I wanted one now I would buy one of the excellent used FNs, Interarms or other Euro-imports from one of the auction sites and rebarrel it. Or call some of the companies that post there and ask. They may have one they just didn't list.

A factory rifle in 8x57 should be easy to find, they made about 100 million Mausers!

Most Brno 21 or 22 series rifles are in 8x57. The ones made after 1949 will take the same scope rings as the CZ 550. Look on GunsAmerica under Brno Rifles.

Steyr was/did make an 8x57. Blaser makes one.

Is Steyr still sold in the US? Who is the importer?

Dynamit Nobel/RWS is the importer of Steyr. This very likely means that they will be unavailable. RWS ammunition is just about gone from the US, Norma ammunition stocks are erratic.

I have had Steyr parts on order from them for over a year and every time I contact them, it will be in just a few days.

I would be leary of buying a Steyr if you want to be able to buy any parts, including magazines.

I recieved Email from them that the actions & rifles are once again shipping to the States. Might look @ their site & check it out...
