I finally completed my Sauer rig
Well I finally completed my Sauer 202 rig the other day when I bought my third barrel in 25-06, previously I had a barrel in 30-06 and 9.3x62. So now I have two sets of stock (a nice wood and synthetic for crappy weather), three barrels (25-06, 30-06 and 9.3x62) and two scopes S&B 1.5-6 and 2.5-10.

Here are some bullets the rifle really likes:
250 gr. Nosler Accubond (9.3mm); 165 gr. Sierra Gameking (30-06) and 70 gr. Sierra Blitzking (25-06)

So now looking in my save I really could do all my hunting with just 3 rifles; my Sauer plus a CZ 22LR and CZ 458 Lott ! But having more rifles then needed is so much more fun Big Grin

Nah, there's always another Barrel Option to lust for in the Grand-Scheme-of-Things.

Great bullet & cartridge selection.

The 25-06 Remington is an oustanding long-range Roe thumper that extends it's usefullness for larger game as well.

I have had considerable success with Barnes 80 & 100 gr. TTSXs, Combined Technology 115 gr. Ballistic Silvertip and the Sierra 120 gr. HPBT.

Have Fun.

Cheers,

They would be the same barrels I'd buy if I didn't already have those gaps filled above my .25/06. I went for the 24 inch barrel in that calibre. Has only been blooded this week on an unfortunate fox.

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Are you both using the steel or alloy receiver?

Mine is steel. Not a light rifle but I don't need that.
