cfore8mm Mag. 180 gr. BT Performance
Just got back from my antelope hunt and thought I would report that the BT worked perfect on my antelope. My load is chronographed at 3,250 fps.
I would also like to report that I shot a hog about 225 lbs. at 200 yrds with the same load two weeks ago. The bullet struck in the neck just behind the head and traveled along the neck and entered the lungs. All that was recovered was a perfectly mushroomed jacket.
Personally, I don't like BT's but they seem to work well for deer sized game in my 8mm Mag.

pointerThe 180gr .30cal BT's and larger are made with thicker jackets than the smaller ones. In a .338 200gr BT the jacket is approx. 60% of the total weight! So even with a core separation, weight retention is similar to a like weighted Partition.
