Stonecreek, they chambered the AIII in magnum calibers. I had a 7 mm rem mag in an AIII. Also, you asked me some time back about the m72. I knew they were made in 1972, but I didn't know how long they made them. Well I believe they made them until 1974. Lou

I would say that's right, since the succeeding model was designated Model 74. This was during the Garcia era and there was some "jumping around" in the model designations during that period. To further confuse things, the Model 72 was a centerfire made in all three action lengths, but the P72 was a small rimfire action that was also produced in .22 Hornet.

This seems to be the thread for the Sako men.
A friend of mine is going to be selling his a2. It is in .308 with a heavier barrel. Very nearly new.
Can someone give me an approximate value for him to sell it?
Thanks
Frank

Varmint style stock or hunter style?
Older square nosed stock, or newer rounded style?
Standard or deluxe wood?
Scope mounts?
