New to me SAKO wood stock rifles
A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to hunt next year with a wood stock rifle. Most of my wood stocked rifles are just too nice so I decided to buy a pre m75 sako. The top is a 30 year old AIII classic in 30'06. The bottom is a AV 270 probably made just before SAKO started using cast parts. I won't tell you how much I paid on Gunbroker.com but they were much less than a used M70 Classic Supergrade.

Your .30-06 is a nice rifle but I REALLY like the .270 pictured below it. Nice snag!!!

In mid 1985 Sako started to manufacture the action by CNC-machines.

You mean they make actual hunting rifles with plastic stocks?? I thought those were for the guys that hang around the rifle range with their cammies bloused and a ninja rag tied around their heads. Wink
