Re: Militec-1 users
I've used it for 12yrs. now, never heard about "baking" it on the rifle, I use it in the barrel at times, though usually use Kroil after I clean, do use it in the receiver area, love the way the bolt slides effortlessly. Do know they use it in Iraq for most of their weapons, ARs and such, Break-free sucks over there. I'll have to get one of my Militec bottles and see what it says about weapons and such. Great stuff, though. Jay

Click on Firearms (left window), then Firearms Application Instructions (middle, just under first pic). Outlines it there, and is what their rep told me on the phone.

My brother got some for me this year during bow season. He is in the Army and they are using it almost exclusively for rust prevention and lubrication. It rained my first few days of bow season and I applied Militec-1 to all of the screw heads and metal parts on my bow. What a great product. This stuff made a film that was dry but still active, if that makes sense.
Needless to say, I now wipe down all of my firearms down with this product, and feel very confident that during long term storage I will have zero corrosion problems.
