jimatcatreloading 9.3x57
ive got a commercial 96 mauser chambered in 9.3x57.... when I got it I a couple years ago, I'd picked several boxes of factory norma ammunition loaded with 286 gr softs... I'd like to reload for it since ive shot all the factory stuff..looking in "cartridges of the world", I only find 1 load using IMR 3031 with the 286 gr bullets... I bought a quantity of nosler partition 286's... they are seconds, but I don't see anything different from the premium ones... anybody have another load???... I don't have acess to norma powder, and would prefer either the 3031, 4064, or 4895... thanks, jim

Norma lists these powders for a 286:
Norma 201 39.0 1906 41.5 2041
Norma 202 40.0 1946 42.9 2067
Norma 203-B 44.0 1942 46.1 2067
Nowadays, I use RL15 46.0 gr.
These are loads I use in my M46/M46A's.
In my 98 based 9,3x57's I can up the charges.
That said, the published data will easily get the job done, and safely.

NakihunterI used to own a Husqvarna 9.3X57 in Mauser 98. I loaded 286 gr bullets with IMR 3031 and got around 2150 fps
I suspect that Varget would do well too.
I would be really keen to see how H322 would do with 232 gr bullets.
I suspect that one can use 358 Win loads as a start and work up to the original velocities.
