Looks like I am going to settle for 1.5-6x42 Kahles 'Helia C' with 30mm tube mounted via CZ rings. Nice piece of glass for just North of 800USD.

Larry SellersBoth of the above are really good choices. I opted for the Leopold VX III, 1.75 X 6 in heavy duplex, mounted in Warne QD's. Just didn't see the need to spend more dollars as the LUPY seems quite adequate. It's sitting on a CZ550FS.

I am toying with the idea of going to a Leupold VXIII 1.5-5x24mm circle dot illuminated reticle.

mstarlingOn the 9,3x62s I've used the 2.5-8x Leupold in Africa and Texas, the 1.8-5.5 Zeiss Conquest in Texas and WV, and the 3-9x42 Zeiss Conquest in WV. They all work fine. The Leupy doesn't do as well in low light.
I have a 1.5-6x42 S&B on a 9,3x74R Chapuis. Simply wonderful. It is arguably the best scope I own.
I saved the 1.5-5x Leupold Illuminated Reticle scope for the .416 Aagaard and .416 Rigby rifles. They're great for fast acquisition on moving targets.

Andre Mertens- FN-Browning o/u 9,3x74R : Swarovski 1,25-4x24 (circle-dot reticle) in claw mounts.
- Blaser R93 9,3x62 : Swarovski 1,25-4x24 (illuminated nr. 4 reticle).
- K98 scout 9,3x62 : Leupold 2X EER.

seafire2having a 2 x 7 Leupold Shotgun scope on a 338/06 that resides on 4 power all the time... seems a plain old 4 power would be more than enough scope....
some of you guys are evidently a lot more "Glass Status" conscience than I am...

Dr. LouSeafire, great minds think alike. I have a Leupie straight 4 power on my Sako 9.3x62. I also have a couple of the Leupold 2-7 shotgun scopes with the heavy reticle and think they're a great deal. I put them on a 358 Win and 375 H&H. Lou

mhoThe 9.3x62 is a pretty versatile tool. Here in Central Europe, it is often used for heavy game (such as large pigs) from a stand at night. For that a 9.3x62 is best equipped with a scope well suited for night time shooting. Mine happens to be a Zeiss VM 3-12x56 with an illuminated #8 reticle. Obviously, there are many other good options for low light shooting.
The other main use of the 9.3 here in Europe is on running boar. For that a low magnification/high FOV scope is just about ideal. Scopes with a lower magnification of 1 to 1.5 are the just ticket. Some may even prefer a dot sight of some sort.

Paolo9,5x73I wanted "well balanced" scope (FOV vs. eye relief) with excellent optics and that's what I got. Vero Vellini padded leather safari sling completes this outfit. I couldn't be happier.
Illuminated reticle with intensity adjustment would be nice, but my budget just could not strech that far.

Dr. DucI have a Burris Safari 1.5-6 with a tapered post reticle on mine. I love the post and fine crosshair. I would have lost some nice trophies with another less usable reticle. I lacks littel twilight factor but is a good scope for the money. I have taken it to Africa twice and not lost anything yet. The newer Burris are much better in low light than before 2002.

SnellstromMy 9.3x62 wears a Nikon Monarch 2-7 that really looks right on my short and light (20" barrel) rifle. I did load development with a Nikon 3-9 and a Leupold 3-9 that was a little big for the rifle.

ChopperGuyI have a 2-7 Kahles 1" on my 9.3x62. Seems like a perfect light and useful scope for the round. I've hunted it in Africa and USA. Taken game cleanly to 287 yards with it and no problems.

RiodotMy Husky 9.3x62 wears a Bushnell Elite 2-7x32 as a main scope and as a backup I have a 40 year old 4x Weaver classic. Both have Warne detachable rings.
I am still not convinced I really needed to move up to a 2-7 but I was always curious about having 2 scopes for a rifle and having each sighted for a different load.
I sighted in the 4x Weaver for 286 gr partitions and the 2x7 for 250 gr accubond handloads.
Now I find I can mix either scope with either load and the all hit within 2 inches at 100 yards. You've gotta love those 9.3s !!!!

slim buttesMy cz fs will have a zeiss 2.5x8 conquest when I get the warren HIGH qd rings. The mediums were too low, the bolt won't clear the ocular bell. (I think that's the term)

Oregon45I've settled on the Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4 with the red triangle. I rarely use more than 4x even on lighter rifles and the bright reticle is just the thing for showing up against game.

sierra2Gee, I feel so basic. I used a Kahles 4x32mm on my 9.3x62mm rifle, which will be "upgraded" to a Leupold 1.5-5 VXIII before it's next hunt.

HUNTSA Weaver K4 has been the only scope on my CZ. Works like a charm. An underrated piece of glass to be sure.

I stayed with the rings that came with the CZ(bases are integral). They are heavy but have not given me any problems. It's been a very good setup for me.

Remington720I recently put my 36 year old Leupold M8 4X on my new CZ 9.3X62. I can't think of a situation from 10 to 300 yds. where it will not work just fine. My medium height Warne rings work well and look good.

My Sako 75 in 9.3x62 wears a VX1 in 2-7x33 (wide reticle) and I really have not found it wanting yet although I am sure some of the Euro optics are better in low light....

GerryMy 9.3x62 (like Snellstrom's) has a 20" tube.
I've EAW Pivot Mounts with a 8x56 Zeiss for nighttime which is pretty overwhelming on that short tube but what the heck - I've haven't heard any Piggies complain.
The other set of EAW rings has a 30mm Millett Red Dot which is perfect for Drive Hunts - it's really looks at home on the stubby rifle, too.

Hunts, I did the same thing. I just put a Weaver K4 on my CZ 550 in 9.3X62. However, I have just finished putting together a Blaser 9.3X62 as well and on that one, I pulled the Leupold 1.75X6 off my .375 and used it on the Blaser. I really love this caliber and am selling my Ruger Safari Magnum .375 H&H. If anyone is interested, drop me a note and I will send you some pictures.
