Brent YatesNorma ammo
Has anyine tried the Oryx ammo by Norma, specifically the 200 gr 300 WM loading, the ballistics, and what I have read about the bullet sounds good, but I would like a little more info, from someone who has actually shot at big game..

Bent FossdalYupp, shot a few red deer with that combo, but the ranges were short and it was to much gun. Bullet always did what it was supposed to, opened rapidly to double size and went on for ever - never found any leftovers either. Many, many customers of mine used the 180 grs in .30 06, and it is one of the most common bought ammo in Scandinavia.

peezziI think the stucture of Oryx is pretty much like the Woodleighs. In other words it´s a "weldcore" bullet. Works really fine in 9,3x62 too.

wildboarOryx 200 gr. is my "standard" bullet for driven hunt of boars and roe deers; with my 300 WM BAR, I shot a dozen, mainly boars with VERY good results, good penetration and the flat point gives better knock-down power. I recovered only 2 that kept 70-80% of their weight; meat damage was always reasonable. An excellent bullet IMO.
