I agree that going with a Sako 75/85 would be a wise decision. The MKV 9 lug action is much too large for the 300 WSM and most other cartridges.

I was just looking around at some stock places, and I did see that B&C makes the medalist stock (alum bedding block, decelerator pad) for the A-bolt WSM's for around 220$. Saw it on stockysstocks.com
