Posted a similar query on the Reloader Forum with no results yet, so I'll try here too.

An online friend just passed on to me a box of Hawk 200 grain bullets in 9.3 caliber. I read the Hawk's are fine bullets, but have no data on loads for a 200 grain bullet in the 9.3x62 chambering. I have not found any online either. Can't find many for 232 grainers. Anyone care to recommend a powder or load for a Husqvarna 649 using the light for caliber Hawk 200's?

Never worked with anything lighter than the 232 Oryx's in mine, but, based on the powders that work well with those, I'd guess you need a fast'ish powder like 3031, H322, N133, etc.. Sorry I can't be more help, but, I'm sure the myriad other 9.3 lovers here will chime in shortly

Don�t the Hawk�s come in different jacket strenghts?

I would use 232 grs data and use common sense: don�t start with lowest load, if all safe you might go over the top loads.

200 grs in 9.3 is a short range load because of SD, use too much velocity and you will blow bullets apart.

232 Norma Vulcan has a good rep on smaller game ( < 100 kg, broadside ) I would consider the RWS Doppelkern to be the best leightweight bullet. Although I would prefer one in 250 ( KS 247 ) or 262 grs weight ( H Mantel weight ).

For a real download, i would use cast Makarov bullets with Unique or 2400. For a mid range load ( for what??? ) I would use 4198, usind the corresponding loads in the Speer manual for similar cartridges, e.g. 30-06 or 35 Whelen.

58 gr. of IMR 4320 and a 200 gr. Hawk bullet is a maximum load in my CZ.
