Arkie06COME ON WEATHERBY
Whoever reads this post please give Weatherby a call and tell them to update thier web site.I did about a week ago and they told me it would be SOON, they are still showing their 2003 web page, and this is Feb. of 2004? Come on Weatherby, the EARLY BIRD gets the worm, and possibly a new rifle sale!

GeorgeSThey are probably awaiting the SHOT Show, so they can post all the new offerings for 2004.

JLHeardOne change that I am aware of is that you can now get the Vanguard in .257 Wby.

BluebeemerI understand your frustration. My dealer was able to get me a 2004 catalog from his distributor. What caught my eye was the dropping of the left hand models for '04. Obviuosly not a dramatic impact for Weatherby or they would still carry them. But, for me, I am terminally left handed and will be unable to dream about future purchases! Good luck ... Mike

dgr416I wanted one of the double barrel sxs shots guns they were supose to bring out. They were in all the magazines last year and just disapeared with the wind.I guess they were not made or imported or something.

TTSThe company making the SXS shotguns could not keep up with production demands. Weatherby decided to drop them from their line up rather than make everyone wait for their orders. TTS

dSmith.45Also dropped was the .338-06 chambering in all rifles. Lack of sales did it in.

Dark Helmetthat's too bad re: the 338-06, I'm surprised more of the mfgrs don't offer that round as it's quite versatile and has got to be the easiest bloody engineering job on the planet given that the -06 is basically the continental standard cartridge...
I want a matching set of 25-06 Rem, 270 WCF, 280 Rem, 30-06 Sprfld, 338-06 A-Square, and 35 Whelen.
wouldn't that be the cats ass... all custom mausers... ah, dreams.

sputsterHey, with the beltless mags being the rage, and the 'experts' stating that the belts really serve no purpose on well-shouldered cartridges, does anyone think that Weatherby will eventually offer beltless versions of their cartridges?

two canoessure but, with a new wrinkle.
04 February 2004, 15:50
Arkie06I wouldn't mind seeing Weatherby offer some kind of a short mag based on thier cases without the belt, probably would look kinda cool, and with the right proppelent might get it to the Lazzaroni Patriot class as far as velocity goes. Would be intreasting to say the least.Right now I would just like to see an updated web page from them, ah well, maybe next week

Regards.

Arkie06Feb. 10, 2004, still no updated web site. When is the Shot Show? My money is burning a hole in my pocket.

dgr416I hope 338-378 weatherby hangs around.I have two accumarks. There needs to be American made brass so it will be more popular.Weatherby brass is tough and very good. The $2 each price kills alot of sales. The Accumark is an awesome deal on long range rifle.I paid $1000 for both of mine.I would love 264 win mag Accumark.I see that Accumark is in 338 win mag i wonder if 338-378 is slacking off?Remington dropped 338 win mag to pick up sales in its 338 ultra mag.I hope Weatherby stays afloat for a long time.I wish I had one of those SXS they were nice.

Bighorn75I have the 2004 cataglog. The .338-378 is still available. Weatherby also has a new ring/base mounting system for their Vanguard line and some slug barrel options for their SAS shotgun line. Sure wish their sxs shotguns would have become a reality but I guess that is for another forum.
