reddy375Sako A7 in 300 WSM
Just checking to see if any Sako model A7, in 300 WSM owners have any feeding related issues. In some rifles the short mags dont feed too well. Thanks

winbag338I believe the problem has been overblown.

GaryVAThe only feeding issues I've heard about were determined to be caused by bulky scopes mounted too low crowding the ejection port. On every one with those issues, the rifles cycled perfectly with the scope removed and I think all were using the same big scope on the lowest rings. Going up to the next highest rings and/or a less bulky scope corrected the problem.

338zmagI don't have a Sako, but do have a 300 wsm Rem CDL. I have a Nightforce scope with low rings and have never had a feeding problem.

GaryVATo clarify, I was not speaking in terms of inherent feeding issues with that cartridge, I was speaking in terms of A7 owners having feeding issues with the cartridge out of the Sako. In all those cases, that I'm aware of that were discussed, the problems were traced back to crowding the port with low bulky optics.
