Tyler KempHuge prairie dog hunting video I made, lots of slow-mo.
Lots of medium bore rifles were used in the making of this video, and the varmint hunting forum seems dead...so here you guys go:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9wtpZ-9QWgI spent a lot of time trying different filming techniques on these little rats, and think I figured out a pretty good system to get great quality footage. Next video will be even better, with more "background info" on guns, accessories, optics, rather than just pure carnage.
Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!
Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

B L O'ConnorWOW! You guys have set the standard!
Thanks for the video. (It's pretty clear that the video itself required a lot of skill, time and effort.) Looking forward to your next video.

Mike McGuireFantastic.
How big is a prairie dog?

Matt MooreThey should be about 1.5 kilo, 30+ cm.
I saw the title of the post and I thought these were huge. Ha

They are quite a bit bigger than I thought. I imagined them to be like a rat standing up on its back legs.

LeopardtrackGREAT job Tyler!
I love PD shooting and that's the best video that I ever saw!
Don't get too crazy with talking on the next video...do the same you did on this one...flash gun, yards on screen....you can never have enough carnage

Try to market this video and make a few bucks...best I've seen!
Good Luck

Tyler KempPersonally if I was making money off it...this is quite low level editing. Just did this mainly for a few friends in my off time, I film and edit for a living. Maybe next year I'll make it to my satisfaction and make some downloads and BluRays available.
These dogs were definitely not 1.5kg...1.5lbs average at most. There were a few big ones about 3lbs but those were outliers.

.366torqueThanks for sharing, it's nice to know the future is in the hands of fine young men.

RIPYep, one of those p-dogs was really big, and he got bigger after the .338 Lapua Magnum Improved with 300-grainer at 3100 fps MV hit him way, way out there.
I bet he was a yard square while cartwheeling through the air, up, up, and away!
Excellent production values for a lark.
Couldn't help but watch the 6mm Creedmoor video after that.
Excellent GA Precision commercial there.
P-dog-ageddon was sponsored by
www.poopourri.com and
www.nevertoohungover.comSecond commercial near the end, couldn't help but watch those, the first time, skipped them after that. But lessee now, who on the list still needs an X-mas gift ...
Thanks for the great entertainment. Really.

B L O'ConnorI might just offer one criticism. If they really do average roughly 1.5 — 2 pounds each . . . you might want something more than a .338 Lapua.
Any chance you'd consider . . . oh, I dunno . . . a .378 Weatherby Magnum?
I understand that when they're pissed off, PDs will charge.
