James CardwellMama is happy!!!
Just got back home from the DSC meeting with mama's new custom Win 270 WSM. She and I went with some friends to the meeting to hear Boddington and Ivan Carter do a seminar on ele hunting. We met up with a friend of our friend who had this rifle he wanted to sell, so after the show we went outside to see it. Guess what! It fit her perfect so she says Happy Valentine Day to me.
So, okay I bought it for her and she is Happy. Now, guys I need some loads. Thanks JC

GeedubyaJames,
And when momma is happy.....
I'd say you've done good.
I've had excellent results with plain old 130 grain nosler ballistic tips over 61 gr of H-4350 in my Winchester high wall. Approx 3200 fps. according to my chrony.
Works fine for the stuff I shoot, .....

Bear in FairbanksGood move on your part. While I use 150 gr. Partitions almost exclusively in my .27 cal. rifles I have found a 130 gr. bullet load that looks quite usable. The loads I use are:
150 gr. Partition
69.5 gr. of Retumbo (near max)
Fed. GM-215 M mag. match primer
MV = 3208 corrected to the muzzle
close to 3/4"
Haven't done much load development with 130 gr. bullets but here's what I've found so far:
130 gr. Barnes seated 0.050" off lands
64.0 gr. Rldr-19
Fed. GM-215 M mag. match primer
MV = 3337 corrected to the muzzle
just about 1" group for 5 shots
I realize most of you guys inthe Lower-48 use 130 gr. bullets in .27 cal. rifles but....
Hope this helps some.

.366torqueYou could also split the differance and use 140 Accubonds. I reload these for a buddies 270. He gets great accuracy and unquestionable results!
