If she intended to hit the lungs she is not qualified to shoot at live game.
Perhaps a question would of worked better then an accusation?

WTF are you talking about?
A lung shot is an effective killer. If the animal is exhaling when hit in the lungs it will drop right there. If it is inhaling it might go a couple of hundred yards. Same end reult.
Lungs offer a bigger target and less chance of damaging meat. I use it extensively on smaller game suck a springbuck & blesbuck.

He's also a dickhead with no class, and I hope he takes a hike.

Sorry.
I did not realise it was a quartering to. I thought it was a neck shot.

Atkinson270 is a good elk killer, so is the 308, 7x57, 30-06, 280, 300 Sav. 30-30, 35 Rem, 375, 338, 7 mags, 300 mags, and a bunch of others..and I doubt if anyone can tell the difference in them on game.

60.5 grains of RL15 using a 160 TTSX out of a 338 Win Mag.
Shoots easier than a 30-06/180 because the recoil is a push vs. a snap.
Out to 250 yards makes an excellent elk, moose and deer round.
With the new Barnes bullets, I see no reason to shoot such a small diameter projectile as a 270; unless can't reload.

Another very experienced killer and observer of big game being killed was Fenn Aagaard. He once wrote, "I defy anyone to tell me what cartridge was used by the way the game reacts when hit".

Does the difference between the recoil of a 30-06 and a 270 really bother anybody?
Is it even noticable?
I dated a girl once who insisted on only drinking Chivas Regal and coke. I became convinced that if I ordered whatever was in the well, she'd never notice the difference. Sure enough, she didn't. I told her she was drinking her pretentious scotch and saved some money.
I'm fairly certain the difference between the recoil of a 270 and a 30-06 falls into the same "it's mostly in your head" category.
