stock repair
I took a small chunk out of a wood stock. After sanding it what is the best way to treat it. I'm not concerned with color but with sealing it.

You might try posting this on the gunsmithing forum if you haven't already.

Picture would be nice as your request conjures up more questions than it states. Is it a gouge or scratch or what and how much did you sand, did you blend it or what and what is the finish on the stock? Might be simple ,might be difficult. Incidentally I like Greensburg. Used to go to the PPG plant there fairly often and kenw many people from there. Show a picture if you can of the blemish.

If you don't care about the missing wood, just fill the area with Aacraglas and sand it flush. It will be sealed perfectly...
