Does anyone know if it is possible to rebarrel a Tikka T3 from a Rem 7Mag to a 9.3x62?

I dont see why it isn't possible but the problem will be the magazine and getting it to hold the 9.3x62 cartridges which have a smaller diameter than the 7mm mag.

Neither the bolt face will fit; the 7 mm. Rem has a magnum rim (.532) diameter, the 9.3x62 has a standard rim (.473)

You could always consider going 9.3x64, if the cases would fit in the mag?

The 9.3x64 will, just, fit into the Tikka T3 long action magazine, mine in 6.5x55 accepts it and the bolt pushes it forward. However wouldn't the cases rim at .496" be too small for a bolt cut for a magnum cartridge?
The recoil would be a bit heavy in so light a rifle.
Why not trade for a T3 in 9.3x62?

I would love to trade in for a Tikka T3 in 9.3x62 but I cannot for the life of me find one in the US. Beretta doesn't even want to consider importing one either. Any suggestions, I'm all ears. By the way, I just traded in the Tikka 7mag for a Tikka 30'06. I may consider looking for a barrel to make that into a 9.3.
