9.3x64 and 320gr bullet -loads?
Hi,
I´ll be receiving my 9.3x64 during the spring and am looking forward to using the 320gr bullet for big game.

Anyone have any loads? I´ll be using Vihtavuori powder and RWS brass.

Cewe, you are a lucky guy, one of my secret dreams is to own a 9.3x64 cal. rifle; therefore, I have no experience with that cartridge, but I've made a check with Quickload 3.3, for what it's worth. I've checked with Woodleigh PP weldcore 320 gr bullets; it seems that the more suitable Vith. powders are the N150 and N550, since both can give a 92-97% of filling and I got the following ESTIMATES:

N150: starting at 57 gr - 61 gr max, giving est. V/0 700 m/s

N550: starting at 61.5 gr - 65 gr max, giving est. V/0 728 m/s

Of course all this is only a guess. Hope it helps.

Wildboar: I was first thinking of building a .375 Ruger when my gunsmith came up with the idea to do a 9.3x64 -a much more logical caliber if you consider that I already have the x57 and x62

Do I NEED a x64?

No, but what has that got to do with anything Cool

Once I find a nice FN I am going to do one of these. Don't need one as I already have a 375 Ruger in the works but as you said, need isn't an issue with rifles.
