<allen day>I get the best value and the most satisfaction from coming up with a good action, then having it built into a good custom rifle.
"Out-of-the-box" performance isn't important to me.

Iron BuckOut of the box accuracy is very important to me. It states a lot about the company that is putting the product out in the first place. I own many rifles from manufacturers here in the US. From my experience, my Remington 700s and Savages have been outstanding out of the box. I get groups from 1/2-7/8 " with them. My Rugers (77 mark IIs) average right at an inch for three shots. My current Winchester model 70 will do 1/2" but I needed to get one with the BOSS to do this. The 3 previous model 70s I owned where lucky to 3" at 100 yards (all were 30-06s) That stinks. I got rid of them. My Weatherby Mark V is a 1.5" rifle. I have several lever action 99s that do 1.5" and a Marlin 30-30 that does 1-3/4". I here a lot on this site about how push feeds and Remingtons in particular are junk but mine have consistantly outperformed my Winchester model 70s.
I here great things about Tika. I plan on getting one for my daughter to see if they are true.

PCI have had great results with my cz's out of the box accuracy wise I am content. My Rem 700 vssf 22/250 also is a real shooter with three shots going under the 1/2" no worries using win supreme 50 gr ballistic silver tips. I don't even load for my 22/250 it shoots so well with win supremes. Two of my mates have the same rifles and use the same ammo and get the same results with there 22/250's as well. All three rifles have leupold Vari X111 6.5-20x40's mounted on them.

Major CaliberHow about a M98 from a Pawn Shop for $110. It had been rebarreled to 30-06, I free floated the barrel, acraglassed it. It's average group at 200yds is .7" for 3 shots.
