hoss101338-06 vs 333 OKH
I have a Weatherby 338-06 on layaway, which I will pick up in Feb. I have not found any dies locally, however I do know where there is a set of 338 OKH dies for sale. Are these close enough dimension wise to interchange (obviously with a .338 expander ball)?
Thanks,
Rob

hoss101Oops! Those are .333 OKH dies, not .338 OKH. Can I just switch to a .338 expander ball and use them to load .338-06?

AtkinsonNo you cannot....and if it worked which is possible it would sure over work your brass and case life would suffer greatly.

BFaucettIn the age of the Internet not being able to find something locally should not present a problem. MidwayUSA, as just one example, has Lee, RCBS and Redding .338-06 dies.

downwindtracker2I got Lee 338.06 dies.Lee uses the Hornady style expander now,and it works slick.I polished the taper a touch, too.I choose Lee over others.
