Voere in 9.3 x 62mm
With all the positive post here on the 9.3x62mm, I wondered if any one here has seen a Voere in this caliber?

There are 2 models avialable , a pretty much standard Mauser 98 action and a delux version with a shroud over the rear of the 98 action and a tang safetey.

I was very impressed with the standard model and it comes with a sevral different options for triggers and safety combinations. Also the option of a box or floorplate magazine.

The one I saw was at a gun show here in Aus and I was very impressed with the metalwork and the oil finished stock which is typical European Hogsback (which actually suits me.)

If anyone wants to look at it go to

www.granitearms.com

and click on the "products for hunters" and then click on the Voere emblem.

The rifle model is the 2155 (basic) and 2165 (delux).

In addition to the above, interestingly, the delux model is available in 9.3 x 64 mm.

I had the Deluxe model in 9.3x64 a few years back. Beautiful rifle. It had a slender rosewood schnable and a low butterknife bolt handle.

The magazine/triggerguard assembly was aluminum, making the entire rifle very light weight. In 9.3x64 it kicked at both ends.

Beautiful rifle.. How did you find the Tang Safety and was that a standard adjustable trigger on it?

As I recall, the safety and trigger were a one piece unit, with the trigger being very similar to a Timney. The safety would also lock the bolt handle.

I'm not a big fan of safeties that do not lock the firing pin, but this one was very well designed. I would probably have added a traditional flag safety to it as well.
