I'm shooting a max load of 7828 behind the 160gr Accubond. The combo shoots .7moa @ 200yds regularely.

I couldn't get the Interbond to shoot worth crap. Might work well in a different rifle but it sure wouldn't shoot in mine.

Mine shoots 78 grains of Retumbo pushing a 160 grain Accubond real well.

Charlie, I am also devoloping loads with 160 accubonds and imr7828. I was hoping you might tell me more about your gun, powder, bullet and O.A.L. I have a wby accumark with a 26" tube and really want to use the 160 accubond for my all around hunting load. I hope to push it over 3200 fps if I can find an accurate combo.

If it's shooting .7 MOA I'd say don't fix anything that isn't broken.

The 160grNAB is a better bullet IMO. Just use it. I tried t get the 154grHIB to shoot in my 7mm Dakota & .280 w/ no luck. They both shoot the 160grNAB subMOA but the HIB is a 2moa on the avg. Mad

As a general rule, I rarely have trouble achieving good accuracy with Noslers, and equally rarely have success achieving good accuracy with Hornady's (some 52 gr .224 Hndy HPs are an exception).

I assume that the majority of shooters share this experience. If Noslers didn't typically yield better performance, then the market wouldn't allow a price differential for the more expensive Noslers.

As an example, I have a .243 HB varmint rifle that shoots Nosler 70 gr BTips and Sierra 70 gr Blitzkings with identical performance. Guess which I buy? Yep, the one which costs the least (normally the Sierras). I do admit to liking the higher polish of the Noslers better, so, okay, I'll give 25 cents per box differential based on cosmetics.

140 Accubonds for my stw, shoots well enough for me. Pass-throughs are the norm, but there is some meat damage due to velocity in my opinion.

If you can lay your hands on some H5010 it is about as good as it's going to get with 160's. I got very lucky a few weeks back and stumbled onto 6 pounds of it. It is out of production.

Jay-I if this chap is getting .7@ 200 yds then I'd say his load developement is done and over with.

And...I honestly don't believe that H5010 as good as it is is not gonna do him any better.

Just a thought.

Mark I don't disagree to a point. But my 7MM STW shoots about the same and gets pretty close to 3400 fps with 160's I won't quote my load but I got it out of a Lane Simpson article in Shooting Times September Issue 1991 when the STW was still a wildcat.
