KSTEPHENS7x64 Bren with american .284 bullets
I just found this statement...
"European 7 mm cartridges all have 7.24 mm (0.285 in) grooves diameter. American 7 mm cartridges have 7.21 mm (0.284 in) grooves."
shooting a factory steyr rifle am i going to get the same accuracy out of .284 bullets?

Andre MertensAbsolutely, my Sauer 202 7x64 shoots Sierra GK bullets in .5 MOA, as witnessed by these groups shot with different hunting handloads :

My FN Model 1924 Venezuelan army 7X57mm shoots very well with U.S. .284" bullets. So does my 7X57mm Mannlicher-Schoenauer!

sierra2I've had excellent results with Accubonds, Partitions, and the "cheap" Hornaday and Speer 7mms too.
