CaptJackI can't see any reason to shoot the 6.8SPC except for it's designed purpose-
To retro an M4/M16 from .223(5.56mm) up to a .270(6.8mm) cartridge that will still fit in the dimensions of the .223 magazine.
I'm former Army and really hated my .223/M-16 and wanted my .308/M-14 back. I really didn't like shooting 55grn.22s when the bad guys got to shoot 125grn.30cal.
The nice thing about the design is all you have to do is change the upper and pick up new mags to convert the weapon. The military cartridge is supposed to be a 115grn at around 2750fps which I think is a better answer to the Kalishnikov's 125grn. at 2450fps. And it will have the accuracy of an M-16.
I can see where it's going to be a
GREAT cartridge for the Thompson Encore. But if I'm going to pick a .270 for a bolt gun it would either be in .270Win or .270WSM

A 6.8SPC next to a 5.56
