When is the Kimber Montana long action (30-06) in stainless comming out! This is driving me nuts.

I'm waiting, too, smallfry. Same as you, an 06 and I'd like to see if it can be rebored/rifled to 9.3 x 62 if there is enough meat on the barrel to do it with. Kimber America really does need to update and improve their website to something like Ruger has. Rant off.

When they do come out I hope they take the time to do something about the paint they are using now. It does not have enough grip for heavy kickers.

I suppose one will be out this spring.

When I read that the 06 was going to be put in the heavier 8400 I went right out and bought a 308 Montana instead. I don't regret that at all and in fact that little gun has become an instant favorite.

The new black paint is even slicker than the old blue/grey. The 8400's need checkering or paint with grip.
