DungbeetleI'm waiting, too, smallfry. Same as you, an 06 and I'd like to see if it can be rebored/rifled to 9.3 x 62 if there is enough meat on the barrel to do it with. Kimber America really does need to update and improve their website to something like Ruger has. Rant off.
I think there may be or may have been some of these already advertised for sale on Guns America recently??

Savage99When they do come out I hope they take the time to do something about the paint they are using now. It does not have enough grip for heavy kickers.
I suppose one will be out this spring.
When I read that the 06 was going to be put in the heavier 8400 I went right out and bought a 308 Montana instead. I don't regret that at all and in fact that little gun has become an instant favorite.

Savage99The new black paint is even slicker than the old blue/grey. The 8400's need checkering or paint with grip.
