That is a Springfield Mk.1 a high number Springfield 03 originaly in 30-06. The port in the left side of receiver was for a Pederson Device, a full auto 30 cal alteration that never was fully produced. only a couple of the units are in existance in museums. Should make a good sporting rifle if you choose.. I have several made into sporting rifles. If you remove the one piece base, the name and serial # will be on top of the front receiver ring. Original barrel and original bolt stop and trigger mechanism for a Mark 1.

Wish I had the original Pedersen device.
