My dream battery would probably be something like a .256 or .303 bolt gun for the light, a 9.3X74R single for the medium and a .450 No. 2 double as the heavy. Again, just dreaming.

Well, that is really a good battery for the reasonably budget bwana. Let me see, if you restock one of the surplus Enfields, rebarrel a #1 and convert a Pedersoli you've got your dream for under . . . what? $5,000? Spread out over three years? Throw in a $60 pith helmet 'n' yer ready t'order a case of porter 'n' a plane ticket, don'tcherknow. Capital, that man!

One more question please....If the 9.3 x 62 is roughly the equal of the 375 why would CZ only offer it in a 7.3# rifle? I was hoping for something in the 9.5# range, any suggestions?

My regular drive hunting rifle is a handmade o/u FN-Browning CCS 25 in 9,3x74R. The engraving is signed by Jos Baerten, FN's master engraver and successor of Louis Vranken. I topped it off with a Swarovski 1,25-4x24 (battue reticle) in Shler claw mounts. Both bbls. shoot in 1 hole at 50 m and the combo is deadly on running shots.
