Anyone know of a stockmaker that will make a fitted stock in laminate? Pretty flexible on the action, I'm trying to put together a nice "ugly" gun in 30-06

mhoFor the ultimate in discrete lamination and undying commitment to quality, try Serengeti. They can probably accommodate whatever action you decide to use.

AglifterI should clarify, what I'm looking for is someone who can make a stock to fit me, from laminated wood -- the same way a stock is fitted in a double gun. I have found a couple guys to make a fitted stock, but they both had too many problems working with laminate (too hard to see the lines they draw on the stock, and the wood seemed to split ahead of their chisels.)

loud-n-boomerHe's not cheap, but Duane Wiebe will. My Wiebe .458 Lott's stock is built from a laminate blank.

seafire/B17Gno one can beat Boyd's prices for a laminate stock...
www.boydboys.comand also there are some decent choices via Richards Microfit...
http://rifle-stocks.com/Richards has a much longer wait than Boyd's and are not as inexpensive as Boyds....Boyd's does a good job on what they offer....both in quality and turnaround....in most instances at least....
good luck...
cheers
