SAKO 75 missing key?
I'm looking at a Sako 75 which has a missing key. The owner assurs me that it is no problem, and that replacement keys are available from Sako.
Can anyone verify that this is true from their experience? I don't want to knowingly buy a headache! Thanks

I have keys to several rifles of mine but never use them. My rifles stay unlocked.

I have a few M-75's with the key-lock system. I've never so much as engaged the lock on one of them ever. You pretty much don't even know it's there unless you mess with it.
If it's a good deal on the rifle I'd get it and not worry about the key. If you have kids or for some reason really need a key it won't be a big problem getting one......................DJ

....Remember that this is all supposed to be for fun!..................

You can get an extra key, an if your really need one, I probably have a spare around here. They were an answer to a non-existant problem. Beretta actually offers conversion 'kits' to get rid of the key system, replaces the bolt shroud and maybe even the firing pin--can't remember.

Me?? I'm like the others, never engaged the stupid things, and the rifles are just fine, never an issue at all. You ain't gonna accidentally lock it if you don't have a key, and it'd be pretty hard to accidentally lock it if you did.

If you want a key contact Accuflite here in Pittsburgh. I'm sure JB will have one for you. He also stocks the change parts to convert to non key lock.
