.338 Win - Fierce EDGE- final results
I bought a used Fierce Edge back in winter for a song. Shot it with Barnes factory 210 and 225 gr TTSX. At 100 yards, both loads were just a ragged hole. When I went out to 200 yards, the group would go to hell. After mucho testing, found out there was a small crack in the stock.

Fierce promptly replaced the stock, trigger/safety as well. It shot well, but I when I shot the Barnes ammo this summer, I was getting a variance of up to 140FPS velocity in the same box, and 200 yard groups weren't great.

With a bit of load development and messing with seating depth, I finally was able come up with something I am happy with. 225 gr TTSX, 70 gr RL-17 powder, Fed215 primer and 3.350 COAL.

It's a hot load at 2943 average, but shoots really well now at 200 yards. I really, really like the Fierce rifle with basically a Sako action. Mine has a fluted barrel. I have 2 friends that have bought 3 since I got mine, and they both shoot 1/2 MOA at 200 yards with factory ammo.

Fine accuracy. Interesting, Fierce action is a Sako 85 clone -

I bought a Carbon Edge in 338 Win Mag a couple years ago. I have been very happy with it. Great Accuracy. Perfect Elk Rifle for me.
