Tip for air transportation in Alaska
I went on a backpack trip out of Tok, Ak. The backpack weight limit was 50lbs, plus your rifle and softcase.Needless to say,50 lbs. is not much for an 11 day hunt. The reason for 50 lbs, is that it is all that they allow in the tail section of their supercubs. We went with 40 mile air, and they were great! You can take much more weight if you do it right. First, layer your clothes and wear as much as possible. Then fill all your pockets with your heaviest stuff, peanut butter, binos, range finders, ect. All you need to do is be able to put on your seatbelt. The other thing that you can do is to fill your soft guncase. Next time I will have a larger soft case! Good Luck

Just to add on some info. Some Super Cubs do have belly pods which will allow you to take more gear. Besure to ask your transporter during booking. "How much weight can I fly out with."
