What are the longest lasting batteries to use in a GPS? I am using a Garmin Oregon series unit.

Lithium batteries last very well and store better than other batteries and are better in the cold.

I've been using lithium in my Oregon 450 with excellent results.

Me too, though I also carry Canon camera that can't use lithium, for some reason - and that's a bummer.
