I agree with N E 450 No2. What make and model model of tent are you intending to re-waterproof?

Paul Tunkis IF you do not have the manufacturers recommendations for whatever reason, I have a suggestion which has worked for me in several instances were there was
NO information available. Kiwi Camp Dry. The stuff is actually recommended by
some manufacturers as a re-water-proofing. Do check it out very throughly first though as it could ruin your tent if it is not compatable. Then again, if the tent leaks badly, what have you got to loose?

Bob Nisbetbelieve it or not, you can purchase a toilet wax ring and use the wax to waterproof seams.
It does not get hard and will last a long time.
Only downside is it is a very sticky wax. Current versions have petroleum in it.
Spread it with fingers, ice cream stick or any other method.

Here's a few .I haven't tried them but you could give them a call for info. I've found Seattle Fabrics a good company to deal with .

N E 450 No2Kiwi Camp Dry...
Let me give you my experience with it.
Once upon a time my wife made her a camo cloth blind. Camo cloth from the sewing store. Not treated in any way.
After she made her blind and set it up, I sprayed it with Kiwi Camp Dry....
Well, one time when we went to get in it, it had rained quite abit a day before.
The top of the blind looked like a bathtub.
It was holding about 3 or 4 inches of water.
The Kiwi had sealed the fabric to the level of "Plastic"....
So I would say it is "plenty" water proof, for sure.

SemperFiHunter+1 on the Kiwi. I use it on my work coveralls, hunting boots, tarps, backpacks, etc. Works great on just about everything I have tried it on.
Just make sure you are spraying this stuff outside! Sprayed my boots down one morning before I left for work, and thought I was gonna pass out from the fumes before I got to the shop, 10 minutes away.

scubaproIf it is a modern synthetic tent, you just could reproof so seams by adding seam sealer, but the fabric itself You can“t reproof.
If it is a classic style canvas/cotton fabric, You could do - best by waxing it probably ( depending of the size a lot of work)
