Spring bear season is just around the corner. I'm starting to do more backpacking hunts with clients looking for more adventure so I've switched up some gear.
New this year I will be using a couple PR-49 packraft for accessing new country, rafts are 15lbs but we won't have to get stuck from weather or hike back to a runway!!
Plus some fishing on the way out never hurt anyone.
Also using a delorme inreach instead of my sat phone. We'll see how that goes.
Having a enlightened equipment quilt build for me. That will provide over a pound saves over my old sleeping bag.
Also going with some first lite merino gear, I'm a huge fan of merino clothes so we'll see how this stuff works. Excited to be in pain packing out bears over the tundra again!!
