ikesdadTell me about milsurp leggings
I'm thinking of getting some leggings for out in the back country. Been looking at some of the older military ones. I know that there are different sizes and patterns. Does anyone know about these things and where to get them ?

GrenadierWhere will you be using them - desert, woods, snow, swamps, etc.?
Are you looking to keep the rain, snow, or vegetation out of your boots or are you looking for snake and cactus protection?

ikesdadNot for snow or swamps or snakes. Mainly to keep vegetation and little crawlies out.

p dog shooterI brought some British mil gaiters in wood land camo. From the sportsman guide.
Beats any commercial ones on the market for toughness by far.

Bill/OregonI see original leather leggings from WW1 in a couple of local antique shops. Tempting.

I have a pair of these that I used for DeerStalking in Scotland. They are very stout and can put up with a lot of abuse! I would recommend them as well
