Solar Charger Questions
I was going to buy a Brunton Solio Magnesium Edition charger. They are out of stock right now.

Are there any other chargers out there that you'd recommend?

TIA!

Depends on what you need to do, but I use one of the little Silva chargers that will do 4 AA's as well as changing from 6v to 12v with mini clips to trickle charge stuff like car batteries via an adapter.
Seems to work well enough, takes around 4 hours with good light to charge 4 AA's.
I leave it hooked up on the dash of the car when it will not be used for a while, to trickle charge the battery.

Cheers, Dave.

Silva Solar Battery Chargers

After comparing a few solar chargers, I've been disappointed with their power output.

Solio Hybrid 1000 - 3.6W
Silva Solar II - 4.75W
Brunton Solarforce - 4.4W
Solio Classic - 6W
Solio Magnesium - 9W

Now see what you started! Big Grin

I put "Solar battery charger" in Dogpile.com and got all sorts of places to look. The military flexible solar power tents are pricey, but interesting.
