DaManThoughts on Vacuum Sealer Systems
My old Food Saver just went belly up on me after 10 years.
I'm about to order a Tilia FoodSaver Pro III....UNLESS there is something better out there. Recommendations?
TIA!

jelmore4I got the CG-15 at Cabela's last year. The bags are a lot thicker and the sealing strip is wider, which I think gives a stronger seal than the Tilia. It can seal a lot of bags at one sitting if you wait 15 to 20 seconds between bags. My Tilia used to overheat after about 6 bags, which was frustrating when I was storing a lot of food.

DaManThanks, jelmore4!
If you would, please look at this
Pro 2300. They are running a sale on them and selling them for the same price as the CG-15.
I was impressed with the Pro 2300 video, but I'm not familiar with the CG-15. So I'd like to hear what you think about the Pro 2300 vs. the CG-15.
TIA!
PS - I've crossed the Foodsaver Pro III off my possible purchase list. I use my vacuum packer A LOT! It's worth an extra $100 to get a good one.

jelmore4I don't know anything about it, but it looks very similar to the CG-15. It also is compatible with canister sealers, which I don't think the CG-15 has, and that could be useful. I haven't ever used that feature so I have never looked. Cabela's has a pretty good return policy, and I feel safe buying from them. These units seem comparable and are about the same price, so go for it. I'm sure someone on the forum has used the ProSealer.
