twilliKifaru Packs
I just bought a Kifaru pack. Anyone had any experience with theirs? Feedback on how you liked the pack and its performance.

T BoneI've had a LongHunter Rendezvous for a few years now. It's a quality piece of equipment. It really shines when packing heavy loads.
The gun bearer system is pure gold.

kutenayI bought a Longhunter Rendevous and a Siwash last summer and was very pleased with them, overall, during the past hunting season. I have owned and used a LOT of packs, most of the big names and have backpacked since 1956. I consider Kifaru packs to be among the very finest available and their tipis are simply brilliant. In a time when most outdoor gear is not nearly as good as the makers claim, Kifaru is and I think that the designs, workmanship and features really kick serious ass.
The gunbearer is just a work of genius, gawd, I wish I had this 40 years ago! I have some fitting issues with the hipbelts, but, that is because I have a slight spinal distortion AND the fitting latitude is there to work this out. Kifaru are, along with Mysteryranch, the ONLY packs that are not full custom, like a McHale, that I honestly feel comfortable recommending, they are great.
The Siwash model is probably the finest light hunting pack I have ever used/seen or even imagined; it is perfection realized and I cannot think of a single thing I would change on it. For deer and grouse hunting over a long weekend, it is the absolute BOMB!
